1) How is this Site FREE, how is it Funded? Will I get SPAM?
NutLugs.com is a new company and a relatively new website. NutLugs.com is offering FREE services to all (companies and individuals) to build up our membership base. We believe our sortable database and our unique communication tools we offer our members will provide a great place for people to share information. NutLugs will not always be free. At this point, there is no time frame or even a structure as to how this will become a paid service. The goal is to provide a great service to the hobbyists and keep the membership fees to literally a bare minimum. We do offer a site donation (bottom of the homepage) to provide a place where donations may be made to assist in keeping our operating costs down.
When registering, you are not entering your name into a large corporate database to receive SPAM or US postal junk mail. We are not affiliated with any such organizations. We simply require registration to regulate the content added to NutLugs.com.
2) How can I review and modify my user settings (address, email, etc)?
When you are logged in, click on your name in the upper right hand corner to access your user information. You may modify and save it on that screen.
3) Can any company list with NutLugs?
No, quite simply the bottom line to our service is to provide the members companies who offer a product or service to the Vintage Car, Hot Rod, or Classic Truck community. Each company that registers a listing will be reviewed by a member of the NutLugs staff for ‘approval’ to be a listed reference. Only if not approved will the company receive notification that they will be included along with a reason why.
4) How can I communicate directly to other members?
As a member of NutLugs, you will have the ability to click on other member names and send them personal notes. The notes will be sent through the NutLugs website and will only display your username. When they reply the response will travel through NutLugs and you will have a new message when you login. This is the same method used to communicate with companies. Otherwise, go to My Messages and type in the profile name of the person and type the message.
5) How do I add a Classified Ad?
Take several photos of the vehicles with your camera and put the photos on your computer. From there take these steps:

Login to NutLugs

Click on ‘My NutLugs’ on the left side menu

Click on ‘Add Classified’ on the left side menu (2nd Menu Down)

You will then be on a screen where you enter as much information as you can about the car

At the bottom of the page, you can add photos, here are the steps to add photos

Click on Browse (a popup window will prompt you to find the photo on your computer)

Select the Primary photo of the vehicle, select OK in that popup window
-
Click on ‘Upload’ Next to the Browse button – the photo will be uploaded to our computer server

Repeat as necessary to upload other photos

When you are through with the car (text and photo upload) select ‘Add Item’ at the bottom of the page.
Please note these items about uploading photos:

Upload .jpg or .gif formatted files only

Keep file size under 120K
-
Remove all spaces in file names
6) How do I Edit a Classified Ad?

Login to NutLugs

Click on ‘My NutLugs’ on the left side menu

Click on My Classifieds on the left side menu

Select Edit next to the particular ad you would like to edit

Edit the desired information
-
When you are through editing select ‘Add Item’ at the bottom of the page – uploading photos on this edit screen simply replaces the photos you have already uploaded
7) As a company, how can I advertise on this site?
Go to the contact page, select the correct category, and submit a request. Our sales department will get back with you within 24 hours.
8) Is advertising open to everyone?
No, advertising is offered only to companies who offer a product or service to the Vintage Car, Hot Rod, or Classic Truck community.
